Cowboy Junkies sing Vic Chesnutt

Cowboy Junkies are releasing a tribute to Vic Chesnutt shortly, following their latest record, which features a lot of recorded ambient sounds and observations from a trip to China. They’re the first half of a four-album project – 4 records in a year and half or something like that. Which reminds me of the four-album in a year project by Martin Tielli. Which took six years.

Vic Chesnutt played with Cowboy Junkies on the live film/album where they performed the Trinity Sessions album (Trinity Revisited). I guess they got along. I think this could be good. We’ll see.
