Scoobity Doobity Two

Here, to celebrate her life a little more: I’ve found this, and it’s lovely. Blossom Dearie, rest in peace.

How come the only time I ever believe in heaven is when somebody I like dies? I don’t know – but I hope that Kurt Vonnegut is in heaven as well. I wish he could have lived to see Bush leave and Obama get elected, so I wish that he could be watching from there. And it would also be really funny if Vonnegut – who disparaged the idea wittily – had wound up in heaven. Going, “Well, if this isn’t nice, what is?”
